Gazer
Privacy Policy
Gazer is designed to help you check stargazing conditions for a location. This early version keeps data collection intentionally minimal.
What Gazer Uses
- Location data: if you allow it in the iOS app, your device location is used to look up current sky conditions and nearby map results.
- Request data: the backend may temporarily process coordinates and basic request metadata needed to serve score, forecast, map, support, and privacy pages.
- Operational logs: the service may keep short-lived server logs for debugging, reliability, and abuse prevention.
What Gazer Does Not Do
- Gazer does not sell your personal information.
- Gazer does not use your data for third-party advertising.
- Gazer does not require an account to use the app.
Third-Party Data Providers
Gazer uses third-party weather and sky-darkness data sources to generate stargazing scores and forecasts. Requests to those providers may be made by the backend as part of serving app features.
Data Retention
This early version is intended to minimize retained personal data. Operational logs and temporary service data may be kept for a limited period as needed to maintain and improve the service.
Your Choices
You can deny location access in iOS at any time and still browse manually by selecting places on the map, subject to app functionality available in the current release.
